SS
Nomadic |
|
On 16th
January 2006, John White and David Scott
Beddard visited Le Havre, France as part of
their international appeal and campaign to
save the S.S Nomadic.
The footage
shows what Nomadic looked like before her
appearance in Belfast and gives the viewer
an insight on what she looked like before
any work was done on her. It also gives a
glimpse into how television news is made.
The footage has not been edited or been
filmed professionally but it will give you
some idea of what work there was to be done
in not only trying to save Nomadic but on
the amount of work that was to be done to
allow the public to view her.

With thanks to Philippe Delaunoy for
organising access to the vessel in Le
Havre to enable media coverage to take
place.

RMS Olympic |
|
In 2003,
John White and David Scott Beddard paid a
visit to the famous Haltwhistle site in
Northumberland, where a vast amount of
Olympic's interiors were used in the fitting
out of a new building at the paint factory.
John filmed
the visit and it turned out to be one of the
last film footages taken before the site was
dismantled a year later and put up for
auction. White Star Memories would like to
thank Ray Cowell for his time and
hospitality during our visit to Haltwhistle.
